Scientists filmed the massive creature swimming in its natural habitat in July.
The giant squid was spotted by Japanese scientists 15 km east of Chichi island in the north Pacific Ocean.

After more than 400 hours cramped in their submarine, the three-man crew spotted the massive squid and tracked it swimming for 9 miles.
