Francis Lawrence to Direct Boths Parts of 'Hunger Games: Mockingjay' Nov 1st 2012, 21:00 We already know that Francis Lawrence is hard at work on The Hunger Games: Catching Fire after replacing departed director Gary Ross. But we’ve been wondering whether or not he would stick around for either or both of the two-part adaptation of Mockingjay, the third and final book in Suzanne Collins’ best-selling young adult novel series. Now we have an answer as Collider has learned that Lawrence is signed to direct The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part I which arrives on November 21st, 2014, and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part II the following year on November 20th, 2015.
