We already know that Francis Lawrence is hard at work on The Hunger Games: Catching Fire after replacing departed director Gary Ross. But we’ve been wondering whether or not he would stick around for either or both of the two-part adaptation of Mockingjay, the third and final book in Suzanne Collins’ best-selling young adult novel series. Now we have an answer as Collider has learned that Lawrence is signed to direct The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part I which arrives on November 21st, 2014, and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part II the following year on November 20th, 2015. Read on! Lawrence previously directed Water for Elephants, I Am Legend and Constantine, but this while likely be his biggest film assignment and most successful film in his career.
